Subject: *REMINDER* 2009 Excellence in Economic Education Funding Opportunity

Excellence in Economic Education
Funded by The United States Department of Education
Office of Innovation and Improvement
Advancing K-12 Economic & Financial Education Nationwide, Award #:U215B050005-09

2009 Request for Proposals (RFP)
Press Release: http://www.councilforeconed.org/news/

The Council for Economic Education (The Council) is soliciting applications from qualified organizations seeking to promote economic and financial literacy among students in kindergarten through grade 12. In 2004, the United States Department of Education's Office of Innovation and Improvement designated the Council as the sole agency to implement the Excellence in Economic Education (EEE) Program. Now in its sixth year, the Council is pleased to announce a new opportunity to apply for funding for projects during 2009-2010. The application deadline is June 2, 2009.

Sub-grant awards are contingent upon the continuation of funding of the Council for Economic Education's grant award under the Excellence in Economic Program from the U.S. Department of Education. The Council will notify all applicants in the unlikely event that the project has not been funded.
